Annual General Meeting

We'll be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday June 19th from 9:00 to 9:30 PM. During the AGM, we'll provide updates on our activities, share insights into our future plans, and discuss how we can continue to grow and improve. We'll also elect the new committee.

Joining the Committee

If you're passionate about dance and want to contribute to our community, we encourage you to nominate yourself for our committee!

If you're interested, please email us at info@esds.org.uk, and we'll respond with further information. Please note that all nominations must be received before the AGM commences.

Membership Cards

From the 22nd of May, our members will be required to produce Membership Cards in order to obtain the members' discount or vote in the AGM. These cards will be issued via email.

Our membership cards are digital by default. Our members should use their smartphones to either show the image attached to the email, or the card as added to their Google or Apple Wallets to the Registration Desk in order to be verified as a member.

You must have a Dancecloud account in order to obtain a membership card. If you are an ESDS member but you do not have a Dancecloud account, you will receive an email informing you of this, together with a request to create an account.

ABOUT US

A little about ESDS...

As an informal society of dancers our mission is to create and maintain a fun and friendly dance community, where we welcome new people to the wonderful world of Lindy Hop and Swing Dance. We run classes, workshops and events, and promote social swing dancing in Scotland.

What is Lindy Hop?

Lindy Hop is a partnered dance born out of Harlem, New York by African-American dancers from the late 1920's through to the 1940's.

It was traditionally danced to Big Band Jazz music and evolved from dances such as the Charleston, tap dance and the breakaway.
